about Davies Symphony Hall:

The 2,700 seat concert hall, home to the San Francisco Symphony, was built in 1980 and displays a blend of modern and traditional design. The part kids may most appreciate are the tall floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offer a great vantage point on the Civic Center area.

Another great feature: Seats are so well-positioned that even the little people have a good view of the action on stage.

getting there:

Cross street is Grove. Take BART to the Civic Center station; Muni metro to the Van Ness station; or buses 21 Hayes, 47/49 Van Ness. Garages dot the Hayes Valley area, particularly along Gough Street; parking costs more on performance nights.
