Fantastic dojo ... My son has been attending classes there for just over a year and he absolutely LOVES it. He originally wanted to go because he had a little obsession with Kung Fu Panda but it turned into a full blown love affair with Karate ... especially the brand of karate they are teaching here which is a patient, loving, disciplined curriculum that teaches self-control, self-esteem and self-confidence. What more could a mom ask for?

We have nothing but good things to say about Karate Kids Redondo Beach. My son has been attending for almost three years and has moved up the class ranks from the Tigers to Lions and now to Dragons. Along the way he has learned not only Karate and self defense, but also self confidence and focus. He has never complained about going to class - he loves it - mainly because of their positive approach to teaching. We have had some minor issues along the way, but they have always been resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. I don't believe we would have had the same success with any other dojo.

Best place for children to take Karate lessons in the South Bay! If you have a son with ADD or ADHD and he has difficulty playing team sports such as Baseball this is the place to go. They learn to focus, and become disciplined while still feeling part of a team. They spar against each other, grapple and other games where they compete. All three instructors are wonderful!!!!!!

Our older son started taking Karate classes here when he was 4 and a half, after getting bored with gym class a year earlier. He had some discipline/anger management issues at the time, and the classes have really helped him mature - in terms of self-control, confidence, and coordination. The facilities are very clean and well-laid out. The staff are all friendly, great with kids (with styles ranging from cuddly to martial), and know their art. We are now starting our youngest (4) - he seems a bit overwhlemed at times but is eager to keep up with his big brother (now 6 and a half). Our only complaint is that it would help if the classes were offered later in the afternoon during the week, to deconflict with work/school schedules. It's too bad that "reviewer" below had a bad time with billing - we had no issues when we had to stop/restart our younger son's enrollment. And as for the karate instruction not being hardcore enough - there is a Krav Maga around the corner if you want your son or daughter to qualify for the junior UFC.

Our daughter loves Karate Kids. We love how it is geared just for kids. It's not the angry drill sergeant style karate. It has age appropriate karate and provides exercise, focus, self esteem, and happy kids. It's too bad the other reviewer had a bad billing experience. It's still worth it. I only wish I had Karate Kids instead of 'the Y' when I was a kid.

We had a terrible experience with their billing and contract. The Karate was o.k. Our 5 year old enjoyed it, but when we were ready to quit, we gave our notice and thought we paid our dues, but their billing department kept sending bill after bill for several months. There is terrible customer service at their billing department. I wasted so much useless time. As it turns, the karate was a joke compared to other studios. We told another studio that our daughter was a yellow belt, so they put her in a class with other yellow belts and she knew nothing in comparison. Overall a terrible experience.
