In Houston for two weeks in the summer, DayJams is a rock music day camp program for beginners and experienced musicians ages eight to 15. Participants write an original song and perform it live at the end of the week; record a CD; design a poster, T-shirt, and CD cover for their band; make a music video; and, yes, spend a little time pursuing outdoor activities as well.
