For 'tweens and teens prone to air guitar and drumming on any surface area, Day Jams just may be a budding rock star's dream come true.
The camp - winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the best day camp for teens in Las Vegas - offers two week-long sessions during the summer designed for kids ages eight to 15 who are beginner or intermediate musicians. Instruction in guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals is offered.
With the help of professional musicians, campers get to join a "rock band," make a CD and music video, design a concert poster, and more. Families are invited to attend Friday night concerts at the end of each camp week; concerts begin at 5pm.
