Decker farm is small but worth it. As you leave Richmond Town, you simply go up the road, up the big hill, as though you are heading towards the mall. It will be on your right side. There are about 2 signs with the farm name and other signs about the veggies and what not. Seriously, slow down and you won't miss it. It has goats, chickens, rabbits, etc. had some of the best cheese from there and they are always willing to let you taste things. Very nice for a few hours on the weekend.

I love getting my veggies fresh every week at Decker Farm. I like that they use homemade natural insecticides as I am a high "at-risk" person for cancer and don't need the chemicals. As a matter of fact, you don't need the chemicals either. At first, the stand looks small but it has more than you will ever need. Everything is fresh and natural. I love seeing the chickens walking around knowing that I am getting the freshest, organic eggs anywhere. The baked goods are delicious and you can help yourself to a goody and some iced tea and sit there and enjoy looking out at the farm. There are helpful cooking demonstrations too. All in all, Decker Farm is a farm that my family, friends and I will support as long as they are in existence. You don't have to go to NJ or CT, that's for sure. Quite simply, as one of the few remaining native Staten Islanders, it is wonderful to participate and support something from my roots.

I live in Staten Island, and not too far from the farm. Decker Farm is part of the Richmondtown Historical Society. It is NOT located near the Historic part of Richmondtown.on Clarke Ave. For info: Historic Richmond Town http://www.historicrichmondtown.org/ 441 Clarke Avenue Staten Island, NY 10306 (718) 351-1611 Decker Farm IS located on Richmond Hill Road across from Wellington Ct., or between Wellington Ct. and Pierpont Place. You can find it either from Richmond Ave to Richmond Hill Road, or from Forest Hill Road to Richmond Hill Road. Just a note - drive slowly, if you go too fast, you may pass the farm. They are open now on Saturday and also serve breakfast. You can park on site to shop. They can tell you how to prepare and cook what you buy! They can also make breakfast. When the farm is open for tours during the fall, they have shuttles from Historic Richmondtown, call for info, because parking is extremely hard to find because of all the many condos that are around and have parking for their residents only, and will tow! Just be careful to find out where to park before taking the car. If you only can go by car, your best bet is to try to find parking on Richmond Hill Road or Forest Hill Road.

Went to find the Decker Farm 10/11/09 with 3 grandkids to pick pumpkins and for a hayride. Parked at Richmond Town Parking Lot, but no Decker Farm. Could not find any signs for Decker Farm. Went up and down Clark Ave and Richmond Road and even up Snake Hill but could'nt find any signs for Decker Farm. Disappointed kids and I ended up at Hylan Blvd instead for Pumpkin jumping in a garden nursery and a maze in a cornstalk area of the garden nursery. Kids had a good time there. Sorry can't find your Decker Farm or signs anywhere.

This is an expensive farm stand. Don't waste your time. Head to CT. for a real farm.
