Deer Creek Pool, with its play features and shallow depths, caters mostly to families with children. Serious swimmers won't find much of a challenge here.
However, younger children will love the gradual-depth entry, a body flume slide, and the shallow waters - only 4.5 feet at its deepest. Five built-in shade pavilions and several large, grassy areas around the perimeter help visitors stay cool - and be warned, the pool's surroundings get exceptionally hot, so bring along plenty of sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
