Dekalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK)050

The DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) is located on a part of the old Camp Gordon, a World War I Army training base. The airport is home to four fixed wing and two helicopter fixed based operators, and hosts 125 aviation-related tenants. There are about 590 aircraft based on the field, and the airport is the second busiest in Georgia. The "Doc" Manget Memorial Aviation Park is located right in the center of the airport, in the shadow of the air traffic control tower. It features swingsets, rocking airplanes, a play structure, and other playground equipment - all with an airplane theme. Picnic tables are available, and the park provides great viewing of take-offs and touch-downs! This is truly one of the most unique playgrounds around. Not planning to picnic?
