about Delaney Park:

Escape the hullabaloo of Lake Eola Park and instead take a short drive to Delaney Park. One of Orlando's oldest parks, the location makes it a hot spot for area moms, while its proximity to downtown provides travelers (with a decent sense of direction) a nice escape from city life. The park has a nice mix of shade from old oaks, but also enough open room for a good game of kick ball or some kite flying. Well-kept baseball fields take up a large corner of the park, and there are plenty of picnic areas around. The most visited section is the fenced-in playground featuring a number of jungle gym sets for kids of all ages. Tiny tots can even horse around on small teeters or slide to their hearts content on mini-playsets. Water fountains and restrooms are also on site.

tips:

Parking is available on the side streets surrounding the park, with the quietest side (and best side for hoarding kids in and out of the car) is near the corner of Osceola Avenue and Richmond Street.
