Ever wonder how money is made? Tour the Department of the Treasury's Western Currency Facility and find out!

The free, 45-minute, guided tour includes displays and exhibits showing the history of US paper currency and the technology of the production process. Also included is a quarter-mile long elevated walkway tour overlooking the currency production floor, the Moneyfactory Gift Shop, and three live demonstration exhibits.

Visitors are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of time to clear security.

The tours are really geared for older elementary school-aged kids.
