about Desert Wildlife Refuge:
The desert bighorn sheep is a big deal here: Perpetuating the survival of the animal and its habitat is the most important objective of the range. The Refuge actively improves bighorn habitats by developing new water sources and maintaining and improving existing ones. Numerous other wildlife species share the range with bighorns. Staff members work out of the Corn Creek Field Station, which doubles as a visitors center and is located inside a trailer.
Camping, hiking, birdwatching, backpacking, and horseback riding are all popular activities enjoyed by refuge visitors. The Corn Creek Springs hike is held regularly and is a perfect, easy outing for families with young children.
