Detroit Country Day is a co-ed college preparatory school known for its superior academics and athletics. It educates children from age three on up through high school at its Lower School, Junior School, Middle School, and Upper School. Students must interview and test into Country Day. Founded in 1914 as an all-boys' school, Country Day was first located in downtown Detroit on East Ferry. It moved to 7 Mile Road and Wyoming in 1923. It wasn't until 1957 that the school moved to its current site.
