The RiverWalk, one of downtown Detroit's largest revitalization efforts, features green spaces and pedestrian promenades running along the Detroit River from Joe Louis Arena to the Belle Isle Bridge.
Families can walk, jog, bike, or blade along the nearly three miles of transformed riverfront, enjoy fantastic views of the water and downtown Windsor, cool off at several water features, and take a few spins around the Cullen Family Carousel that features animal species native to the Detroit River.

getting there:
Located along the Detroit River from roughly Civic Center Drive, near Joe Louis Arena, to the Belle Isle Bridge. The best places to access the RiverWalk are at Hart Plaza, GM Plaza (at the GM Renaissance Center), Rivard Plaza (at Rivard Street and the river), or Gabriel Richard Park (just east of the Belle Isle Bridge).
