Dillon's is popular with northwest Valley residents for its great food, generous portions, and friendly service. If you don't live near one of the Glendale, Surprise, Peoria, or Lake Pleasant locations, it's worth the drive.

Families are welcomed right off the bat with crayons and paper activity place mats for the kids. Plenty of high chairs and booster seats are available, and the servers are laid-back and unruffled by spills or special requests.

Baby back ribs, brisket, smoked salmon, fried catfish, prime rib - it's all good. The Carolina-Style Pork Sandwich offers a delicious blend of spicy, tart, and sweet with vinegar marinade and crunchy coleslaw complementing the tender pulled pork. Ultra-creamy potato salad on the side mutes the Cajun-style barbecue sauce nicely.

Sandwiches include your choice of steak fries, BBQ baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, mashed potatoes, or southwestern grilled vegetables. Platter-style entrees include two sides.

Don't forget dessert! Homemade cobbler, Mocha Mud pie, Double Goo Doozie, and the luscious Pumpkin Bread Experience will satisfy any sweet tooth.

The kids' menu offers guests 12 and under their choice of grilled cheese, hot dog, chicken tenders, hamburger or cheeseburger, pulled pork dinner (tender enough for little ones), or rib dinner. All meals include French fries; a chocolate sundae can be added for a small fee.

The original Peoria location is in a renovated house with a huge fireplace and large windows overlooking a backyard full of bird feeders. It's just a plain white brick building from the outside, but the heavenly aromas and casual, family-friendly atmosphere will bring you back, time and time again.
