One of the area's more unusual eating establishments is the Dogwater Cafe, a family-friendly sports bar that serves the prerequisite burgers and wings. The kitchy catch here is that the entire restaurant features a canine theme, from the decor to the menu. Offerings include "Table Scraps" appetizers such as Lhasa Apso Nachos, and entrees such as Huckleberry Hound and St. Bernard burgers, and Great Dane Chili Dogs. Most adult selections average $8-$10. The Kids, er, "Puppy Chow" menu includes the $2.99 Astro burger, a 1/4-lb. cheese burger, and the Toto, a grilled cheese sandwich, for $1.99. Hot dogs, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and quesadillas are also available; curly "poodle" fries are extra. And, just wait until the food comes to the table and the kids realize that their entree is being served in a dog bowl! The restaurant is filled with TVs tuned to, you guessed it, sports programming. There are also several pool tables, dart boards and video games. And, be aware that servers here dress less conservatively than other area restaurants. Of course, if you've just come from a day at the beach, the waitresses' Hooters-esque apparel may not be much of an issue.
