Before Dreamland expanded to Atlanta, we know of quite a few folks who drove over to 'Bama just to get their rib and sauce fix. Now on any given night, the cozy metro area locations are filled with families getting their fill of some of the best barbecue around. The ribs are the signature item, but the menu includes pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, banana pudding, salads, and the Dreamland burger. The kids menu includes mini-versions of the pork and chicken sandwiches, in addition to gooey mac-and-cheese, grilled cheese, and hot dogs. All locations prepare their food using a hickory-fired brick pit (fun for the kids to check out) and all barbecue dishes come with sides of the not too sweet and not too vinegary sauce. Oh, and there's white bread to sop up the extra, because believe us, you'll want to. The atmosphere is completely casual, with paper towels and silverware (in cups) on the tables. Highchairs and infant carrier slings are available.
