about Durham Western Heritage Museum:

The Durham Western Heritage Museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution and is located in the historic Union Station and features restored train cars, an old fashioned candy shop, and an authentic 1931 soda fountain.

Birthday parties at the museum range from train-themed activities to life on the prairie to scrapbooking. Fees are $150 (members)/$175 (non-members) and up. Reserve a date in advance by calling 402.444.5071, ex 556.

Summer day camps are available, too, for kids ages five to 12.
