YMCA members have access to all the facilities and programs offered in the Cobb County area. The Y offers sports programs and classes (indoor/outdoor soccer, basketball, baseball, karate, dance, gymnastics - even tennis at some branches. You can join Adventure Guides/Princesses if you're looking for a parent/child scouting alternative. YMCA summer day camps include before- and aftercare, horseback riding, sports, and travel. The Y's are famous for the aquatics program, which teaches more kids how to swim than any other program in the country. Teen programs give kids good role models to help them develop cooperation, leadership, respect for the body, good citizenship, and strong character values.
