The Easter Seals Daycare Center specializes in dealing with developmentally challenged kids, but it also makes lots of room for other children, too. The staff believes in the importance of placing children of all physical, emotional, and academic abilities in the same learning environment, and most of them have degrees in early education. Fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Easter Seals Center offers lots of individualized attention and developmentally-appropriate learning activities. The Easter Seals experience shows that children with disabilities benefit from receiving appropriate care alongside their non-disabled peers. Typically developing children serve as role models from whom children with disabilities learn age-appropriate communication and social behaviors. The benefit to children without disabilities is that they learn to understand and accept differences.
