The red rustic barn of Eckert's Grafton Farm heralds the place to stop for apples, pumpkins, and good old-fashioned autumn treats and activities. Grafton Farm opened in the 1960's as Eckert's Country Store and Farms's first U-Pick Apples location; today it's only open seasonally.
The farm's entertainment area is a big hit with kids: Goats climb on hay bales, hens lay eggs for little hands to discover, and calves wait to be bottle-fed by young helpers. Miniature golf, a tire swing, three inflatable jumpers, and piping hot funnel cakes make the visit especially worthwhile for families.

getting there:
From Missouri, take the I-270 bridge to Illinois. Take the Great River Road North (Route 3) and follow to Grafton. Turn right on Route 3 in Grafton, then left on Otterville Road; drive approximately 1.3 miles and watch for Orchard signs.
