about Edsel and Eleanor Ford House:

The estate - once the private residence of Henry and Clara Ford's only child, Edsel, and his family - is preserved and open to the public through the generosity of Eleanor Clay Ford.

One of its best features is its location: just on the northern tip of Grosse Pointe Shores directly on Lake St. Clair. Kids can check out The Play House, a 2/3 scale miniature house - complete with electricity, heat, a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room - that was a gift to Edsel and Eleanor's daughter, Josephine, on her seventh birthday.

getting there:

Located on the east side of Lake Shore Drive, between Vernier (8 Mile Road) and 9 Mile Road, on Lake St. Clair.
