Tourists crowding the colorful
Olvera Street outdoor market often stop in
El Paseo Inn for a rest and some
traditional Mexican food. A shaded
terrace overlooks the market; you'll also find tables inside the Inn, which dates from 19th century. On the menu, you find the standard Mexican dishes, and some American food as well. There are plenty of
salads, soups, and hamburgers, as well as
enchiladas, fajitas, tacos, tamales and tostadas. Everything comes with
rice and beans.
El Paseo Inn also offers breakfast and lunch specials from 10am-3pm, including the
huevos dishes for which Mexican cuisine is famous. A
children's menu offers burritos, tacos, quesadillas or enchiladas, with chicken or beef, and rice and beans, for $5.95. There are
booster seats and high chairs available. All food is available to
take out. The bar offers parents a variety of
margaritas and
coffee drinks, as well as soft drinks and beer.
