about Eliza's:

Eliza's is the kind of Chinese restaurant kids and adults love. Here's why: There's a cartoon you may or may not have seen that pictures a big pot with spigots pointing in multiple directions. It's the same food but each spigot is given a different label - Chow Mein, Cashew Chicken, or Kung Pao Shrimp. The cartoon is titled Why All Chinese Take-Out Tastes the Same. Well it doesn't. Eliza's breaks the mold. This is fresh and flavorful Chinese food, ideal for children, whose palates you're trying to cultivate, not discourage. It's also a great place for parents who will appreciate the nice setting and polite service. Arrive early, or on off nights; a line almost always forms at Eliza's.

tips:

The food is attractively served on oversized plates, which can present a problem when several dishes arrive at once. In short, leave the table toys at home.

getting there:

The cross street is Divisadero. Metered street parking is tough to find. Bring quarters. Muni 1, 43.
