Ellenwood Equestrian Center is located just 15 minutes from East Atlanta Village. It offers horseback riding lessons for children and adults, a summer riding camp, and on-site birthday parties.

Lessons run one hour and focus on building a partnership between the student and the horse. Students learn to lead, groom, and tack up their lesson horse. The center teaches english riding, with a focus on dressage as riding abilities progress.

Children ages six to 15 can experience a whole week of horses at the Summer Day Camp. The fee is $200/week. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, with before- and after-care available on an as needed basis at an additional fee of $5/day. Children participate in all aspects of running a stable, learning to feed horses, clean stalls, clean tack, groom horses, and, of course, ride. After lunch campers cool off in the above-ground pool, play, and do arts and crafts.

The farm features a very large deck with an above-ground pool overlooking the pasture - a great spot for birthday parties. During cool weather months, parties are held on the second story of the barn, which serves as a lodge for camp and viewing area for shows and other activities. Younger children can enjoy pony rides; older children get mini lessons on the horses. Party fees start at $150 for the first hour.
