Elm Creek, part of the
Three Rivers Park District, provides
four seasons full of recreational opportunities.
The large park - comprising 4,900 acres straddling Maple Grove, Champlin, and Dayton - offers more than 20 miles of paved trails for hiking and biking, a
chlorinated swimming pond and large creative play area, a
30-acre archery range, picnic pavilions that can be rented for private use, a new championship disc golf course, and a
winter recreation area featuring a lighted snow-tubing hill, about 10 miles of cross-country ski trails (including some miles that are lit and/or served by snowmaking machines), and a downhill ski and snowboard area with chalet.
Classes & Camps: Nature programs are offered year-round at the park's
Eastman Nature Center. Ski and snowboard lessons are offered in season at the
winter recreation area, with both weekly and school release day lesson sessions.
