About Emma Krumbee's Orchard & Restaurant
This farm-o-tainment complex is open year-round, and includes a homey restaurant and bakery; a gift shop and general store; a farmers market; an on-site hotel; and more. Seasonal activities like pick-your-own apples, pumpkins, and berries (including hydroponic strawberries), and festivities like the annual Great Scarecrow Festival make it worth trip. Christmas trees and other potted plants are available from Krumbee's nursery.
Tips
If you're planning to enter the Scarecrow Contest, download a form and submit your entry by early-September. There are categories for youth (ages 4 to 12), teens (13-18), and families and adults - and thousands of dollars in prize money!
Getting There
About 45 minutes south of Minneapolis - follow the billboards on Highway 169!
