The Escondido Children's Museum is in its new quarters, located near the Escondido City Hall. What makes this museum unique is its focus on science, international culture, and nature. The museum offers a variety of hands-on, learning-through-play activities. All the exhibits and programs are carefully designed by education specialists, so while the kids are having a great time, their parents, teachers or other caregivers are learning about themselves and the world, too.

Areas for exploration at the museum include a Wildlife Tree House, a hands-on weather exhibit, a garden with native, water-tolerant plants and stream, a Pioneer Schoolhouse, a dress up area with international costumes, an early childhood area, and an adobe ramada.
