ESPN Zone, a sports dining and entertainment complex, has opened a site as part of Downtown Disney, the new 300,000-plus square-foot retail, dining, and entertainment district next to Disneyland. This arcade/restaurant has surprisingly good food, and the kids will enjoy waiting for their table, since that gives them time to play the games, which include just about every sport you can think of. Kids can test their skiing prowess, play basketball, race motorcycles (all virtually, of course) and more. You'll be given a beeper to alert you when your table's ready. You can also just come and play the machines, without waiting for dinner in the restaurant. Parties here can be a bit chaotic, but lots of fun. Call to speak with the restaurant's party planners. From I-5 Southbound: Exit at Ball Road. Cross over Ball Road (You will be on Disneyland Drive). Follow the signs to Downtown Disney Parking.
