about Evergreen State Fairgrounds:
The fairgrounds, located northeast of Seattle along the main highway to Stevens Pass, hosts the Evergreen State Fair in late August/early September and other events throughout the year.
The town of Monroe offers restaurants, gas stations, coffee shops, and all other amenities, along Highway 2 just east of the fairgrounds.
tips:
Expect traffic backups on SR 522 during the fair, especially on weekends. We've experienced delays of up to half an hour, both coming and going.
getting there:
From Seattle: Take Lake City Way, which becomes Bothell Way NE. Continue on Bothell Way NE/NE Bothell Way into the town of Bothell; make sure to stay in the right-hand lane, following signs to Highway 522 (Monroe). Follow the road as it bears to the right on Woodinville Drive, a major intersection. Get in left lane, and take left-hand onramp onto 522 eastbound towards Monroe. Continue on 522 eastbound about 14 miles, to the end of the highway. The highway will curve down to an intersection; at the light, turn right onto Highway 2. After about 1/2 mile, turn right into the fairgrounds.
