about Every Picture Tells a Story:

Sadly, Every Picture Tells a Story closed its doors in September 2011.
An online business still exists.

Once located in LA's Fairfax district, this gallery dedicated to the art of illustration and children's literature is now in the heart of Santa Monica's pedestrian-friendly Montana Avenue. Every Picture Tells A Story is a place where the original works from books are recognized as fine art and where one can appreciate a finished book as a work of art in itself.

In addition to fun and nostalgic artwork, Every Picture also offers an eclectic and cozy children's book department and a variety unique toys and gifts.

The gallery frequently hosts interesting celebrities, authors, and others, to read from favorite kid lit. You'll also find a great staff willing to help you choose prints, books, or create book baskets as gifts.

tips:

The shop frequently schedules events that complement a family matinee at the Aero Theater, making for a great day out.

getting there:

The store is located between Euclid and 14th Streets, diagonally across from the Aero Theater. Metered street parking along Montana is carefully monitored, so be sure to bring plenty of quarters.
