At Exploration Station, children can explore community life scaled down to just the right size, so that they can really check it out.
Exhibits include a grocery store, move groove & grow gym, a post office, a dental office, a fire engine, a vet clinic, and a farm tractor.
Kids can also create their own art project, play dress up, visit some live animals, and play in the Air, Water & Sound Room - where air water & sound power the play. Visitors can also check out fossils, sit in a cockpit behind the controls of a fighter plane, and get locked into the dungeon of a two-story medieval castle.
Also, seasonal exhibits come and go, so visits throughout the year may provide new sights and adventures.
The museum also lays claim to being the Home of the Tooth Fairy. A special tooth fairy package - which includes a certificate, tooth fairy dollar, and a tooth trinket box - is availabe. The certificates can be personalized. Price for complete package is $5.
On Terrific Tuesday, suggested donation is $1, but no admission is required (an Animal Room fee applies).
Birthday parties can be held at the museum for a very reasonable fee, starting with a "no frills" package.
Family memberships are available. Visit the museum's website for more information.
Note: Children under 11 years of age must be accompanied by a paid museum attendee 16 years or older. All adults must be accompanied by children. See museum staff for details. Registration at the front desk is required for all museum visitors.
