About Explorations V Children's Museum
Explorations V boasts three floors of mind-stretching, kid-powered exhibits, and programs casting a spotlight on art, science, literature, math, health, life skills and cultures from around the world.
Highlights include the Explore Store, where kids can shop for groceries or manage a super market; "O" is for Oranges - From Seed to Our World featuring the importance of oranges in the local community and the world; the Financial Center, where kids can deposit or withdraw play money, use an ATM, or become a banker; the News Station, which invites kids to play anchor, operate the camera, and forecast the weather; and the Theatre, where kids can create their own theatric production and be a star on stage.
Birthday parties at Explorations V include hands-on exploration of exhibits, use of party room for 1½ hours, paper goods and plastic ware, a commemorative souvenir party plate, and the birthday child's handprint added to Party Room wall. Check the website or call to reserve a date.

Getting There
Located in downtown Lakeland, approximately 3 miles from the intersection of I-4 and Hwy. 98. Take a left at Exit 32 if arriving from Orlando. Continue across Memorial Blvd into downtown Lakeland. Turn left on Pine Street, then proceed 2 blocks to Kentucky Avenue. Turn right onto Kentucky Avenue and cross the railroad tracks. The museum is on the left, just beyond the tracks, across from the park. Look for a purple, green, and blue awning.
