about Exploritorium:
Exploritorium is a basement-level playground that offers a mock theatre, computer stations with educational computer games, water play, a large art area, and a two-and-a-half story climber with slides, tunnels, and swaying bridges.
Perfect for stir crazy children on rainy days. It's also available for birthday party rentals.
tips:
Admission is good for all day, so take a break for lunch or a snack and head over to Kaufman's Deli (4905 Dempster) for some of the best bagels around.
getting there:
From Chicago, take Lincoln Avenue north to McCormick Boulevard north, then head west on Oakton.

worst waste of money this place has nothing to do has water area with no toys and 2 year olds cannot reach water table has toddler room boring music wall very boring dress up area boring my kid was done in 25 minutes and a indoor slide a waste of time
This place is amazing. Correct prices are actually 2 for adults and 4 for children ages 2 and over skokie resident 4 for adults and 6 for children 2 and over non resident. It is a great deal, you can come early go get lunch and come back with the same ticket. Great place to let the kids run around freely because it is secure with a gate and staff by the front. Plenty of magazines for parents entertainment. Amazing art projects, tubes and tunnels area is a hit for the older kids, and even a water play area. I would bring an extra set of clothes for the ride home because kids are known to get a little to wet. Just an all around great place! Would recomend for infants up to age 12!!!
I have just recently visited the Exploritorium and it is such a wonderful place! My little girl loved the theatre area and the tubes & tunnels. We will be back again!
We took our 4 year old and 1 year old to the Exploratorium on a freezing cold day. As non-residents, we paid a total of $14. The best features of the place are the walkers/riders for toddlers and the climbing gym with tunnels and slides for the older ones. I was disappointed to find a unimaginative water area with a few plastic animals, a costume area with some tattered outfits and a snack area consisting of two stools and a counter under a stairwell. The majority of kids appeared to be about 2 years old. Overall, I expected more for the price.
I find the Exporatorium less insane then being at the Kohl's. It's not overwhelming in size and still has ample activities for the kids to do. You'll find in a great way to burn off the extra energy caused by too many rainy days. Art's and Crafts, Computers, Sides and Jungle Gym, Dress-up all in a safe enviroment. What more can I say.
