I am an 8th grader at EKA. I like EKA. It is a great school. Everyone in the school gets an Apple iPad. Everyone. even the kindergartners. this is an amazing oppurtunity, and Explore Knowledge is way more than proud of it. Sure, we use it to type reports and make slide shows and take notes now and then. But there is WAY more that this iPad is capable of. WAY MORE! but we never use it. It is almost never used in our Block classes. ( The 4 classes we have in the morning before Advisory, our "project time") just to take notes...sometimes. EKA just doesn't realize the amazing tool we have our hands on and we take it for granted.
Also, I think that EKA is a good school for Elementary and Middle. Note that I said, good and not great. Some teachers are loveley, engaging, experienced teachers, while some are just horrific, meaningless, I-don't-know-what-im-doing teachers.
and as for high school, I just don't even want to go there. You do not learn anything from going to high school there. If you want a normal high school experience, do not go here. the teachers dont teach you anything and its just not the same,

FINAL SAY.
Basically, its GREAT at elementary, OK in middle, and BAD in high school. The higher grade you are, the less attention the school pays towards you.

I am a senior at EKA, I have attend EKA since the opening in 2003. The school is great for those students that are independent learners. Classes are hands-on and self-taught. I've seen many student come to EKA that were not the best students, but after attending EKA they have succeeded in most or all areas of study. I am proud to call EKA my school for they have taught me more than any other school could.
