Dr Scholl is the mastermind behind the Feet First Museum, a permanent exhibit at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science dedicated to - you guessed it - the human foot.
Visitors can touch and examine an over-sized skeletal model of the human foot and learn about the walking process, or gait cycle, which is a complex series of movements coordinated between brain and body. An interactive computer reveals information about the layers found under the skin.
