about Fillmore & Western Railway Co.:
Train lovers of all ages trek loyally out to the Fillmore & Western Railway Co. in Heritage Valley. The vintage railway depot is home to some familiar trains from movies and is the starting point for several special event train rides.
Particularly popular are the holiday train rides to the North Pole, the Halloween Headless Horseman ride, and periodic journeys pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine. For parents and older kids, Murder Mystery are rides scheduled on Saturday evenings throughout the year.
More traditional outings include weekend excursions to Santa Paula every Saturday and Sunday at noon, on vintage train cars.
getting there:
Highway 126 goes directly through Fillmore, 19 miles west of I-5. Turn right on Central Avenue, then right on Santa Clara Street, and park by City Hall. Look for the red ticket caboose. More free parking is at Central Park, 250 Central Avenue.
