About Fine Arts Association
Providing a broad spectrum of arts education since 1957, the Fine Arts Association also produces special events for families to watch - and to perform.
Arts education classes include visual arts, theatre, dance, and music. Most classes are held weekday afternoons and on Saturday mornings.
Theater classes are not general overviews, rather, each workshop-style course has an age-appropriate, specific focus, such as Silly Suess Skits or Intro to Theatre Tech.
Dance and fitness offerings (ages 4 and up) range from beginning ballet and hip hop to advanced tap, yoga, and pilates.
We especially love the concept of Family Ties, a program for children ages six to 17. Family Ties is designed to supplement a home school curriculum with multi-disciplinary arts education - the student and his family's final project is producing a family review. (10 week class $336 for one student; multiple students from the same family are eligible for a discount.)
In addition to traditional arts education, the Fine Arts Association also provides music therapy services for children with disabilities. The Arts Technology Lab affords students the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art computer hardware and software.
