The Fire Museum of Maryland houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of both antique and recent fire-fighting equipment in the world. Over fifty rigs are on display, and are complemented by a broad range of special exhibits, including one on the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. Children can get hands-on in the Discovery Room where they can dress up as fire fighters and sit behind the wheel of a 1938 Mack fire engine.
The Fire Museum hosts birthday parties and has a store, filled with books, collectibles, t-shirts, and toys for kids and adults alike.
