This park, site of the 1939 and 1964 World's Fairs, has the largest concentration of sports, recreational facilities, and cultural institutions of any park in New York City. The centerpiece is the still extraordinary Unisphere.

Queens Theatre in the Park, the USTA National Tennis Center, the
Queens Wildlife Center, and the
Queens Botanical Garden.
The Olympic-size indoor public pool, the first to open in New York City in four decades, has an adjustable floor and diving tank for public swim and competitive meets.

Playground for All Children, designed for kids of all ages and abilities, is at 111-01 Corona Avenue; and after a good romp, kids can cool off at the
antique carousel.
Ice skating, from October to April, is available at the 18,000 sq. foot indoor rink, located in the New York City Building, opposite the Queens Museum of Art. Skate rentals are $4.50; rink admission ranges from $5 (Wed & Fri afternoons) to $8.
