The Flying Leathernecks Museum is all about the proud-looking planes, strategically placed around the grounds. Typically, kids itch to explore the props, jets, helicopters, and carriers - something they can do at the aviation museum that celebrates the history and courage of the Marine Corp. On Open Cockpit Days, kids can even climb into a special plane.

Aside from the 25 planes in its collection, the museum Marine Corp-related memorabilia, located in the museum's building.

getting there:

Located immediately off Miramar Road, just west of the MCAS North Gate. The planes are adjacent to and visible from Miramar Road.
