Fountain Hills is lauded by Guinness World Records for having the tallest fountain in the world.
The fountain began operating 30 years ago and is a Valley landmark. It shoots a column of water that reaches 330 feet to up to 562 feet in height, depending on how many pumps are in use.
The fountain is in the middle of a 29-acre lake and is surrounded by a 64-acre park featuring an 18-hole championship disc golf course, a children's playground, a splash pad, and picnic areas - a surprisingly quiet, relaxing spot for families to enjoy.
Be aware that the fountain operates only for 15 minutes every hour on the hour from 9am-9pm, weather permitting. It automatically shuts down if wind speeds reach 10 MPH.
