about Fowler Museum at UCLA:

The Fowler Museum, a treasure trove situated on the UCLA campus, collects and exhibits cultural objects primarily from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Native and Latin America, past and present.

Interpretive exhibitions and workshops are offered for families during the school year, and summer camp sessions are available for children.

Membership: Individual $50; Family $75.

Kids Muse is a summer camp program for kids ages seven to 13. In the intimate setting of the Museum galleries, classrooms, and courtyard, children explore selected cultures through music, photography, painting, and other visual arts.

Museum educators and outside specialists offer opportunities for hands-on learning centered on the Museum's collections and exhibitions. Members' fee for the five day session: $100; non-members: $150. Enrollment is limited to 30. Reservations and information: 310.825.8655.

getting there:

The Fowler is located just west of Royce Hall on the UCLA campus. Enter UCLA from Sunset Boulevard at the Westwood Plaza entrance and proceed directly to the kiosk. UCLA campus parking is $8. An attendant will direct you to the appropriate parking area in Structures 4 or 5. The main entrance to the Museum faces west, and is only a short walk from either structure.
