Originally the Yaarab Temple Shrine Mosque, The Fox was designed in the late 1920s as headquarters for the 5,000-member Shriner's organization. Madly opulent, complete with minarets, its incarnations have included a stint as a motion picture palace.
Restored to its former glory and then some in the late 70s, the theatre now hosts Broadway shows, ballet, large-scale children's productions, and opera.
Its Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival, a popular series of high quality classic and contemporary films, features a pre-movie show that includes a classic cartoon screening and a singalong with the Mighty Moller organ, known as Mighty Mo'.
