Kent's largest city park plays host to the city's Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween activities, and other annual events.
Six shelter houses, a rustic walking trail, an historic jailhouse, baseball fields, and two playgrounds grace the park grounds, much of which is shaded by mature trees.
Fred Fuller shelters, the jailhouse, and the heated Roy Smith Shelterhouse (which seats 80 and includes a kitchen and fireplace), can be rented through the parks and recreation offices (330.673.8897).
The walking trail connects to the city's Riveredge Trail that meanders along the Cuyahoga River (and remnants of the canal) for nearly two miles, passing historically notable points such as a cemetery where many of the town's earliest settlers are buried and Brady's Leap. Picnic tables and benches are placed along the trail.
