about Frist Center for the Visual Arts:

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts is a nonprofit art-exhibition center, with approximately 24,000 square feet of gallery space, dedicated to presenting the finest visual art from local, state and regional artists, as well as major US and international exhibitions. Family membership is $65/year.

Membership in the Frist Center Kids Club is free for children ages five to 10 and includes an ID card, a variety of art classes and activities, and rewards for participation. The Kids Club meets Saturdays from 1pm-2:30pm with a different theme each month. Membership forms are available online. Call in advance to reserve a space; class size is limited.

The on-site cafe is open daily and the Frist Center also offers summer art camps for kids ages five to 13.

getting there:

The Frist Center's 180-space parking lot is located on the southern side of the building, accessible from the Demonbreun Street and 9th Avenue entrances.
