Winner of our 2009 Parents' Picks Award for Best Toy Store in Pittsburgh, Fun Buy the Pound carries a wide selection of building toys, from old favorites like Lego and Erector Set, to newer products like Pixel Blocks. Visitors are encouraged to come in, sit down, and play with the toys. Kids can build what they want and, if they like what they've built, they can bring it up to the register and pay for it by the pound.

The store is monitored by a closed-circuit security system so parents can watch even the youngest children while relaxing nearby.

Party packages at Fun Buy the Pound include invitations, a birthday cake, candles, soda or juice, sandwiches, and a gift for the birthday child. Party guests get exclusive use of the first floor play room, and are also welcome to use rooms in the rest of the store.
