I would love to give this museum five stars but due to a grouchy volunteer I have to give it three. When my friend and I arrived with our children (ages 2,3, 5 ,6 and infant) we were greeted by a VERY friendly lady volunteer that I would love to have had for a Grandma. She was great with the kids and gave us a tour that was suited to our little ones. They enjoyed it. She took us to the children's interactive play store and kitchen area and told us to stay an hour and be sure to clean up everything. About 40 min into the adventure and after being joined by another Mom (kids age 3 and 7) our hearts were let down when another grumpy volunteer came in and told us we must not know the rules and that everything had a place. She was very upset that someone had undressed and redressed the baby doll and spent a good 5 minutes lecturing our children on this while she redressed the doll. (the doll was exactly as it was when we arrived, must have been another child that "played" with it). She said everything had a spot. She was just plain rude. After we cleaned up with our children we left. I would love to return but I don't think my children should have to risk another encounter with this grumpy lady. I imagine that she never had children and if she did they may have been scarred for life by her all to strict take on life. She told them (ages 5 and 6) to organize the "cans" on the shelf in the kitchen so they looked better. My pantry is messier than those cans were. So, if you go it's a fabulous place but beware of the older lady with the gray bob hair do.

We took two 4-year olds and two 2-year olds here, and they loved it! They have so may props to play with- pioneer dress-up clothes, chickens with eggs to gather, clothes to hang on a line, and fishing poles to catch trout from a stream. The museum is free. We will definitely go here again.

This place was a lot of fun for my kids. The tour-guide made sure to keep give information that would keep them interested throughout the museum. Two thumbs up!

This has been a great place to take our small preschool. It is incredible what they have inside that building. The tour guide was so good with the kids & they just loved it! Very kid-friendly (but the moms wanted to come back and have an adult tour to learn even more).
