At the Galveston Railroad Museum, train lovers can see three steam engines on display outside, as well as three still-operable diesel engines.
Indoors, the Museum has an exhibit of Santa Fe Railroad memorabilia from the 1950s and 1960s, including timetables, dining car menus, and glassware from the Super Chief. Also on display is a winter wonderland model railroad.
Free parking is available at the Museum.
Hours: May-September: Daily, 10am-4pm.
October-April: Daily, 10am-4pm; January: Closed on Mondays.
Closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day.
