Gap Kids and BabyGap offer well-made clothes that are colorful and sturdy, and echo the clean, classic lines of The Gap clothing for adults. Some stores also carry shoes; these are hip-looking but flexible and well-padded to accomodate little feet. While it can be pricey, the store is constantly pushing out old inventory to make room for the new. So look for the sales.

Gap Kids merchandise is sold through The Gap outlets throughout most of the Seattle area, but babyGap departments are only available at Bellevue Square, U Village, and downtown Seattle. Some stores offer a more complete selection than others, and one The Gap store (Bellevue Square) has put its Gap Kids clothing in a separate outlet. It's best to call ahead to make sure the store carries what you're looking for.
