Home to the American Hockey League Hershey Bears, GIANT Center opened in October 2002. The 306,000 total square-foot arena boasts a seating capacity of 12,500 for in-the-round concerts and 10,500 for hockey. GIANT Center also has 40 luxury suites and a Club Lounge which seats 688 people. The arena is used year-round for all types of events, including family shows, hockey, concerts, ice shows, PIAA events, trade shows, and more. Most events at GIANT Center require ticket purchase for children ages two and up. GIANT Center, located in the heart of Hershey's chocolate world, is just down the road from Hersheypark amusement park.
getting there:
From Philadelphia, take the Schuykill Expressway (I-76) west to the PA Turnpike (I-76). Take the PA Turnpike west to exit 266 and turn left onto 72 north. Follow 72 north to 322 west, and then follow 322 west into Hershey. Stay straight as 322 west becomes Hersheypark Drive/Route 39 west; continue to the stadium.
