I'm sorry that you did not have a good experience with our program. With our free diagnostic testing, we determine any weaknesses in the foundation that may or may not correspond with the student's current school grade. Our philosophy is to fill in any of these holes to ensure a strong foundation before moving on. I apologize if this was not explained clearly to you when you signed up your child.

Gideon sucks - time and money waste

Please do not put in gideon for math even if you son is in 3 rd grade or 4 th grade or 5 th grade they will start with 1+1 ...1+9 , 2+1 ....2+9,
3+1....3+9.........9+1 after 1+2 (mixed), (2,3), (3,4), (4,5) addition and subtraction 1 digit , 2 digit for almost 6 months - do not waste money

While private tutoring is an effective way as well, the price is much much higher. Gideon tuition runs approximately between $100 - $250 per month, depending on the number of subjects taken and the level of the child. Private tutoring once a week for an hour would also be $200. The ratios for the younger learners is only 2:1 and for more independent learners, the ratio is only 4:1. I would also imagine you would have to schedule a certain time for a private tutor.

Gideon has been a part of the Coppell community for a number of years now and has a great reputation for delivering a quality product. They do offer a free diagnostic evaluation (as mentioned above) so I would say go check them out and decide for yourself if their program is right for your children.

I think that learning centers aren't helpful at all. You must go to them and schedule during their hours. Plus, it's always a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4. Private tutoring is the best way to improve your child's grades and get the individual help that they need b/c not all children learn the same way.
